2019 CONFERENCE for CONTEMPLATIVE PRACTICES IN HIGHER EDUCATION

I had the amazing opportunity to work on completing a program design for the 2019 Contemplative Practices in Higher Education conference to showcase not only the presenters, presentations, and keynote speakers, but also to help attendees understand the program, find room locations, and promote the work of the conference planning committee. I was fortunate to be able to attend this conference the first week of March, and I learned *so* much in the way of whole-body wellness, meditation techniques, the as well as the importance (and incredible positive impact!) of contemplative practices in the classroom and in the workplace.

Ralph Waldo Emerson Placard

I was inspired by this quote I found, and did my best to translate it to paper. Perhaps the coolest part of this piece for me was the integration of graphics constructed within Illustrator with hand-made print elements.

Rose Card Print

One of my fave things to make with hot glue are these paper roses-- gorgeously full and, I think, add instant elegance. This was part of a "100 Cards in 100 Days" project, where I set out to create print cards for 100 consecutive days to increase my skillset and gain creative ideas.

Pastel green + white card stock [cut, colored and scored for the leaves!], assorted marker, felt pen, hot glue, sharpie
